THE ACTION BUTTON DOT NET MANIFESTO: A LIST OF THE TWENTY-FIVE BEST GAMES OF ALL-TIME (#25-2 live)

Posted on August 27th, 2008

(compiled and written by the action button dot net staff)

design by rerorero

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that videogames are created awesome.

. . .

Uhh. Not really sure how to follow that up. Here goes, anyway:

We are very often accused of hating every game that is ever released; this is not true. We only hate about 99% of them.

Therefore, as something of a massive insurance policy, as something to point to every time someone says we complain too much about trivial things and should just “relax” because these are “games” are you’re supposed to have “fun” when you play them, we have compiled this thorough list of what we consider to be the twenty-five best games of all-time, and written monstrously long reviews of all twenty-five of those games. Since we’d get a baffling amount of hate mail accusing us of being nazi vegetarian hippie assholes if we put up all twenty-five reviews at once (since the mere act of the text existing indisputably = us forcing you at gunpoint to read every word and like it), we’re going to put the reviews up three at a time, twice a week, until we’re finished. And trust us, you’ll know when we’re finished.

As of today — Friday, 22 August, 2008, we’ve posted up numbers twenty-five through two. If you’ve been keeping up, hey — welcome back. If not, please, come inside and begin the journey.

Just one more game left! It shall be revealed in all its glory this Friday, August 29th! Prepare for the future!
